The mission of the Tippecanoe County Historical Association is to enrich the lives of Tippecanoe County residents and visitors by collecting, preserving and interpreting our unique and exciting history.

Company History

The Tippecanoe County Historical Association (TCHA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to collecting and preserving information and artifacts relating to the history and culture of Tippecanoe County, Indiana, and its citizens.

TCHA currently maintains three sites:

The Tippecanoe Battlefield Museum is located on the site of the Battle of Tippecanoe, William Henry Harrison’s 1811 conflict with the forces of Tecumseh and the Shawnee Prophet. The Battlefield Museum is located just south of the town of Battleground at 200 Battle Ground Ave., Battle Ground, IN 47920.


The Fort Ouiatenon Blockhouse at Fort Ouiatenon Historic Park. The park is the site of the annual Feast of the Hunters’ Moon. Fort Ouiatenon is located south of West Lafayette at 3129 S. River Road, West Lafayette, IN 47906.


The Frank Arganbright Genealogy and Research Center is the home of the Alameda McCullough Library, a comprehensive collection of genealogical and historical resources is located east of the Fowler House at 1001 South Street, Lafayette, IN 47901.
