The Salina Art Center is an AAM-accredited, non-collecting contemporary art museum and education center located in Salina, KS. Founded in 1978, the Art Center has carved out a reputation as an innovative, artist-supportive, and audience-responsive institution. Its mission is to create exchanges among art, artists and audiences that reveal life. Art Center programs integrate regional, national and international artists and community audiences in the development, presentation and reception of contemporary art and film. Local issues, needs, and challenges are addressed through artist residencies, exhibitions, films, classes, temporary public art projects, and youth development initiatives
