Company Overview
The Museum of Art & Archaeology is the AAM-accredited teaching and research museum of the University of Missouri, and holds more than 15,000 objects in its permanent collections. The Museum’s holdings are worldwide in scope, and include exceptional holdings from antiquity, particularly the Eastern Mediterranean, a Samuel H. Kress Collection of Italian paintings dating to the 15th-18th centuries, as well as broader collections of European and American paintings, prints, drawings and other media, including a growing collection of Regionalist and Americanist works from the 19th to 21st centuries. The Museum also holds strong collections of medieval South Asian sculpture, as well as holdings from East Asia, Africa, Oceania and Latin America.
