Company Overview

The Montshire Museum of Science is an interactive science museum located on a 110-acre wooded campus along the Upper Connecticut River in Norwich, Vermont.

Our mission is to forge and empower lifelong learners through engagement with science, and we achieve this by welcoming visitors to explore more than 150 hands-on exhibits relating to the natural and physical sciences, as well as our outdoor spaces, both trails through natural areas and our signature David Goudy Science Park.

The Montshire Museum of Science is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that is supported by admission, membership, grants, and charitable contributions.

Company History

Founded in 1974, we opened our doors to the public in 1976 in a former bowling alley in Hanover, New Hampshire. We cut the ribbon on the current Museum Building and 110-acre learning landscape in Norwich, Vermont in 1989 and are now one of the busiest museums in northern New England, welcoming 170,000 visitors annually and reaching 13,000 students in regional schools.
