The Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art is a private museum and 501(c)(3) public charity founded in 1962. The Museum is a 15,000 sq.ft. facility located in the west suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. The Museum focuses on artworks created from hard stone and promotes the study of earth science.

Company History

The Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art was founded by Joseph F. Lizzadro, Sr. in 1962. He had a love for stone and wanted to share his passion for rocks and minerals with others. He collected from the late 1940s to 1972. Since then the Museum has continued to expand and add to the collection.
