The Johnson City Railroad Experience is a new museum that builds upon the legacy of the successful George L. Carter Railroad Museum, formerly housed on the campus of East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN. The JCRE is moving into new quarters in downtown Johnson City and will play a key role in regional heritage tourism and the ongoing growth of this vibrant city. The JCRE will provide a dynamic destination that tells the story of our region through the lens of its railroads. This job offers a unique opportunity for the successful applicant to be part of building this new museum experience from the ground up. Johnson City is located in the beautiful Appalachian Highlands, a one-hour drive from Asheville, NC.
