Florida Historic Capitol
Company Overview
The Historical Capitol of Florida was completed in time for Statehood ceremonies in 1845. It was subsequently remodeled in 1897, 1902, 1923 and 1947. In 1982 it was restored to the 1902 form and now serves as a Museum of Florida Political History. Its programming and exhibits may be viewed at:

The Museum is managed by the Florida Legislature.
Company History
The Historic Capitol was dedicated as a Museum in 1982 under the management of the Department of State. In 2006, management of the Museum was moved under the Florida Legislature. The curator of the Museum is jointly appointed by the Senate President and Speaker of the House.
