Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
In 2016 the Catalina Island Museum fulfilled a long term vision of moving from its quaint location in the historic Avalon Casino to its own 18,000 sq.ft. facility. The mission was expanded to bring unique exhibitions to the island with the March 2017 "Chihuly at the Catalina Island Museum" being the most ambitious and largest. Catalina Island Museum is the only museum or institution on Catalina Island devoted solely to celebrating art and history.
